Convenience Foods

I’m baaaaack! I’ve been getting a lot of questions on my diet and exercise routine lately, and I’ve honestly been eating a lot of convenience foods so I figured I’d round them up and share my favorites. If I go to reorder and everything is sold out I’m taking this post down.

  1. Daily Harvest

This is a plant-based meal delivery service that can deliver as little or as often as you like. They can deliver once per week. I have mine set to deliver every few weeks. I like it better than Sakara because everything in frozen so you don’t have to worry about spoilage, it’s way cheaper ($7-10 per meal), and I find it tastier.

It’s been very hit or miss for me, but the meals I like I LOVE. My favorites:

  2. Pressed (Juicery)

While I do make my own juice, it’s very time consuming and honestly not that much cheaper than buying it. I discovered Pressed when I lived in San Diego and wanted to do a juice cleanse for a few days. Recently, I discovered that they will deliver nationwide for $15 per order if your order is over $100. I’ll do 1-2 big orders per month and easily get to this. They also have a “VIP” program that’s only requirement is to make one $10 purchase per month, and brings your cost per juice down to to $5.50. I think the company scaled/changed their methods, because juices used to expire after a couple days and now they last a month. However, as a quick and high nutrition option at a low cost I love these.

  3. Lenny and Larry’s Cookie’s

So these definitely aren’t HEALTHY, but I am a sweet tooth junkie and having one every few days or so helps keep that in check for me. Totally worth some of the artificial ingredients rather than going off the deep end and snorting sugar like cocaine. They’re plant-based, high-protein, THICC, chewy, and I actually like the flavor better than a “real” cookie.

  4. Desserts

Wasn’t kidding when I said sweet tooth junkie. Regardless if I have my cookie or not that day, I generally have one of these Good Pop oat milk ice cream bars every day. I think it’s good to have a small dessert every day so you don’t feel deprived (if you like dessert). I get them at Whole Food's. Trader Joe’s also has a really good oat milk ice cream sandwich.

  5. Exercise

I can do another extensive post on this, but basically I workout 6-8 times per week and do heavy weight lifting for my butt or Lagree/Pilates. I don’t do cardio.
