38 Part Skin Care

I’ve gotten a lot of requests to expound upon an IG story that I posted a few weeks ago so better late than never right? I started getting really into skin care after I saw a tiny wrinkle on my forehead that I can happily report has gone away. Honestly, most of my skin care routine is prob bs that doesn’t do much bc you CANNOT out moisturize a shitty diet and I definitely recommend adding more greens to your breakfast/lunch/whatever before spending a ton of money on skincare. That being said, I like my routine and it makes me feel pampered so I do it.

STEP 1

Remove makeup with Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm. I like this because it melts your makeup off and you aren’t pulling at your skin to make your waterproof mascara gtfo.

STEP 2

Wash face with Foreo and Peter Thomas Roth Anti-Aging Cleanser. I much prefer the Foreo over Clarisonic because you don’t get bacteria in the bristles and it honestly makes your skin feel baby smooth. This cleanser definitely helps brighten my face and I’ve been using it for like 10 years.

STEP 3 - Every 3rd Day

Exfoliate with either Dr. Brandt Microderambrasion or Kate Sommerville Exfolikate. Sometimes I follow with Peter Thomas Roth Firmx Peeling Gel if I’m feeling like I want to remove my entire face. You definitely want to make sure you’re exfoliating regularly so that your other skin care products are absorbed by your skin.

STEP 4 - A few times a week, not on the same day I exfoliate, and only at night

Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peels. The first time I used this I thought it was a joke and did not understand how a pad that you use for 1 minute could do anything but I stand corrected. I tried this set by Dr. Dennis Gross and much prefer the peels.

STEP 5

AHA Toner. Because cleaning 3 times isn’t enough. Ha haaaaaaa

Note: I got this as a 100 point perk a few weeks ago and have really liked it so far, but haven’t used it for long.

STEP 6

Spray with Caudalie mist. I use this on the plane a lot too or during the day over makeup if I ever feel like I need a little pick me up. Bonus that it makes you feel like you’re in a spa.

STEP 7

So at night I use Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Serum and during the day I use Drunk Elephant C-Firma Serum. I think you either love or hate these products but they work for me. I’ve also used Caudalie in the past and had good results. Mini set option here and here if you want to try before you buy.

STEP 8

Moisturize. During the day I use OleHenriksen C-Rush. Make sure you put this on your neck because it seriously brightens and your neck won’t match if you don’t lol. At night I use Caudalie.

STEP 9

Laneige lip mask. Stole this from TheSkinnyConfidential, who, by the way, if you don’t follow you should. She says it’s great for both an overnight treatment or during the day it doubles as a gloss and she’s right. That being said I also LOVE Vaseline chap-stick. I find that my lips dry out if I only use one product so I alternate between the two.

STEP 10 - Occasional

If I’m hungover or jet lagged or just feel like taking 15 mins to mediate with these on I’ll use Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Detox pads. They immediately de-puff. I’ve heard the gold ones are good too but I haven’t tried. Also use Evian facial spray if my skin feels dry - especially while traveling.

I do masks once in a while but lately have been more into serums since they’re like the lazy man’s mask. I’ve tried all the masks in this set and recommend it if you are into that sort of thing. You can also get this mini set to sample.
