This is one of those things that you can’t keep in the house because you WILL devour it. Also one of those things I wish I had a single serving food processor for.
Let’s begin:
Crust
- 1 cup medjool dates - pitted
- ½ cup almonds
- ½ cup walnuts
HOW
- Blend in food processor or Vitamix
- Mold into cups – cupcake trays make a perfect size dessert
Tart chocolate mouse
- 1 avocado
- 1/4 cup cacao powder
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- Agave to taste (I used 2 tbsp)
HOW
- Blend all ingredients
-Optional – add a spotty brown banana to the chocolate tarte for a thicker consistency. If it’s not spotty and brown I don’t recommend this. The spots are sugar spots and mean that the banana has reached its sweet peak. Without them the banana will lend an undesirable flavor.
Add filling to your cups
Refrigerate to firm for 2-4 hours
Toppings of your choice: I used kiwi, berries and coconut flakes.
