Rawnola

BIG SHOUT OUT TO LONI JANE ANTHONY FOR CREATING THIS. If you don't know who she is click HERE or HERE. Truly a source of inspiration.

This has quickly become my go to base for any bliss balls and cake and pie crusts with minor adaptations. Sometimes I wonder WHO I WAS before finding this. After you've made it a few times you can get creative and adapt it so many ways -  peanut butter, almonds, lucuma powder, cacao. The possibilities are as endless as the "bread" sticks at Olive Garden.

FULL DISCLOSURE: it's addicting AF.

YOU WILL NEED:

  • 1 cup pitted medjool dates
  • 1 cup gluten free oats
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut

HOW

Blitz all ingredients in blender or food processor until it's a doughy, crumbly consistency. and add to everything!

WHY IS IT GOOD FOR ME?

"The benefits of dates include relief from constipation, intestinal disorders, heart problems, anemia,  sexual dysfunction, diarrhea, abdominal cancer, and many other conditions. Dates are good for gaining weight also. Dates are rich in several vitamins, minerals and fiber too. These delicious fruits contain oil, calcium, sulfur, iron, potassium, phosphorous, manganese, copper and magnesium" (source). Paired with the manganese, selenium, phosphorus, fiber, magnesium, and zinc from oats you've got yourself a nutritious dessert topping that almost constitutes a meal replacement.
