I really don't recommend skipping the agave in this recipe but do you boo! So simple and refreshing. It's like if CRISP was a food. The food equivalent to a white button-down fresh from the dry cleaner.
YOU WILL NEED:
- 2 cups frozen cherries
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1 cup cashew milk
- Juice of 1-2 limes
- 2 tbsp agave
WHY IS THIS GOOD FOR ME?
"Cherries contain powerful antioxidants like anthocyanins and cyanidin. One study found the antioxidant activity of these substances isolated from tart cherries was superior to that of vitamin E and comparable to commercially available antioxidant products" (source).
Cherries also contain melatonin aka legal ambien. So if you have trouble sleeping, add some cherries to your dinner plate.
Last but not least, their anti-inflammatory properties help aid arthritis. If you're not 70 don't worry - anti-inflammatory is also beneficial for quicker post workout recovery.
