I’m baaaaack! I’ve been getting a lot of questions on my diet and exercise routine lately, and I’ve honestly been eating a lot of convenience foods so I figured I’d round them up and share my favorites. If I go to reorder and everything is sold out I’m taking this post down.
Literally stumbled upon this at Jimbo's two days ago. What a happy accident! The first thing I noticed was that it's a COMPLETE protein aka it contains all the essential amino acids. This is unlike brown rice protein or pea protein which need to be mixed together to create a complete protein.
Omega 3's are part of a 3-6-9 family made popular by Lil John and the Eastside Boys that you NEED to add to your diet. Omega-3 (and 6) fatty acid's are essential fats, which means that your body can't make them and needs to derive them from food. 9 isn't essential so we'll skip that one.

Hey guys! Quick but V important post. If you haven’t head of it yet I’m about to blow your mind: Everything butt the Bagel Seasoning. This stuff is so good that it’s selling for twice as much on Amazon as it costs in store (it’s a Trader Joe’s product). As the name suggests, it’s basically the top of a bagel scraped off and bottled. It’s especially satisfying for those of us trying to shimmy our way into a bikini for summer because it makes everything taste more carby (if that makes sense). I put it on avocado toast, hold the bread, and barely miss the bread.
Despite being pretty healthy and knowing I SHOULD be eating greens every day, I don’t particularly enjoy the pressure of meeting that quota. However, if you want to have glowing, dewy skin you just gotta do it. It also makes it harder that most “greens” associations are salads aka dinner or lunch. Since I don’t love salads I needed a new solution so I came up with one! I now eat an entire container of spinach/kale every single day and get it in first thing in the morning so there are no excuses (I make this at night, every night, and let it sit in the fridge overnight so it’s ready in the morning). Try it and you can now justify your shitty dinner - you’re welcome!
Get it? Zucchini oats. Just when I thought that I couldn't possibly like overnight oats any more I discovered THIS. If you like zucchini bread then TRY IT. Not only does it taste like sweet and savory zucchini bread but it's also super simple. And good for you unlike its aforementioned muse.
I honestly had no idea where I was going with this when I started making it but it came out FANTASTIC.
Tell me this doesn't remind you of the rhinestone back pockets of True Religion jeans starting from 2002 to.....now? I'm fairly certain they're still a thing in parts of this country that will remain unnamed. BUT I digress.
Who doesn't love cereal? There's something so satisfying about sitting with your bowl and chomping away spoonful by spoonful. If they didn't have the nutritional equivalency of a brick I would probably keep Fruit Loops in my h̶o̶u̶s̶e̶ apartment at all times.
It's moments like this.....when I can eat ICE CREAM for breakfast........that I know God exists.

Just when you thought there was nothing more pretentious than avocado toast and matcha lattes, superfood coffee decided to have a moment and I am HERE for it. Chugging coffee as quickly as possible to wakeTF up is no longer just a necessary means to an end, it’s become a delicious experience - and you even get a nutritional boost! I now take my morning coffee routine as seriously as my nighttime skin routine (read: v seriously). When it’s done I sip, meditate, and gradually wake up. It’s honestly bliss: I highly recommend.
You could have just chained smoked a pack of Newports and you would still feel healthy AF after gulping this down. Welcome to my favorite green juice.
I really don't recommend skipping the agave in this recipe but do you boo! So simple and refreshing. It's like if CRISP was a food. The food equivalent to a white button-down fresh from the dry cleaner.
Have you ever gotten a hot coffee, taken a few sips, and then forgotten about it? An hour later after it’s cooled to room temperature you go back for a sip and get that gross acidic taste. It’s like taking a shot of vodka with none of the fun side effects.

High-key obsessed with this salad. I’m such a sugar freak so having a couple medjool dates everyday totally satisfies my sweet tooth. If you’re like this too I highly recommend trying this salad for lunch for a week straight and seeing how you feel!
Ok first of all I air fried my fish and if you don’t have an air frier already I IMPLORE you to buy one. I literally use it every day. I don’t use oil on anything but if you’re not counting calories like it’s your fucking job then adding a little makes everything amazing. Like you could cook a piece of kale and be blown away. Also, Truff Hot Sauce is worth the hype. I’m making these for lunch to add more veggies to my diet and stay fairly low carb, not to mention they take 7 mins.
Sometimes you just want something thick and comforting. And maybe creamy. But I digress. Here’s something else that fits the criteria.
Cauliflower is having a moment and I am fucking here for it. In a somewhat effective effort to get thin for summer, I’ve been toying with low-carb options. As anyone who has given up bread knows, after 2 days you feel so deprived and are like screw this and then eat an apple pie, so eating satisfying foods is KEY. I’ve been having this for lunch almost every day and have officially tricked my brain into thinking I am actually eating pizza when really I am basically eating a salad. Minimal prep and I have meals for the week.
If you like BBQ this is the recipe for you. Tastes exactly like pulled pork, takes 15 minutes, and it’s made out of fruit!! What a time to be alive.
Since last week’s buffalo cauliflower tacos were such a hit, I decided to make another cauliflower recipe. So far the feedback has been “it’s better than the buffalo cauliflower tacos” which, tbh, is SHOCKING, but who am I to reject such an unprecedented compliment? This week’s dish is inspired by sesame chicken that you’d get at a Chinese restaurant, except replace chicken with cauliflower. I know - bet you didn’t see that coming.
Buffalo cauliflower, coconut flour tortillas, avocado - it’s what millennial dreams are made of! These will easily be my go-to crowd pleaser meal for the next year and tbh, writing this post has me contemplating making them for breakfast. Don’t sleep on the (dairy-free) avocado mayo - it really kicks it up a notch.
I’m gong to start doing a superfood power bowl series so here’s bowl #1! I’ve been making this quite a bit lately because it seems to be a crowd-pleaser and is relatively easy and simple to make. It’s also PACKED with nutrition so you will be left satisfied but not stuffed.
What this isn’t: an authentic Tom Kah recipe. What this is: delicious, comparable in taste to traditional Tom Kah, takes 5 minutes to prep, and you likely already have the ingredients. I like to bulk up the soup with a ton of vegetables, which, again, isn’t the traditional way to make it, but hey! it’s my recipe.I make a batch of this and have dinner for the whole week. If needed, you can add tofu or shrimp (WILD CAUGHT) as a protein source.
After eating salmon for more days in a row than I feel comfortable sharing, I decided I could not eat one single bite more of that delicious little fish for at least a month and needed to shake things up. Let me add that I love salmon bc of how easy it is. I tried cooking halibut to no avail: the fire-alarm may have gone off, so I wasn’t particularly inclined to try again. As I racked my brain, I thought to myself…….what about tuna???

Lately I’ve been trying to swap healthier substitutes for junk food if I want something I don’t typically eat. Don’t get me wrong, if I’m realllly craving the real thing I’ll have it, but more and more I’d prefer not to feel sluggish. This dessert is filled with vitamins and minerals and has no refined sugar so I can eat it and still feel good.
Sometimes you just need a little chocolate pudding to deal with the hills and valleys of life. That being said, traditional chocolate comfort will just make you fat and then you’ll be dealing with a lot more valleys than hills. Here’s a five minute mousse recipe that will satisfy AND nourish you.
Name one person who doesn’t need unicorn dairy-free 5 minute fudge…..go on, I’ll wait. These took me literally five minutes to prep, pop them in the freezer, and you have the cutest little grab and go fudgey, decadent desserts. Tip: like regular fudge they melt, so only take them out when you’re ready to eat them. ALSO, if you use minimal sweetener they are keto for those of you who are into that sort of thing.
Ever since I was maybe 2 years old I’ve eaten raw cookie dough. Luckily I never got salmonella, but being old enough to know better I try to avoid food illnesses. This dough is a total dupe for ‘real’ cookie dough, takes 5 minutes to make, and is basically guilt free since it’s mostly chickpeas. In-fucking-sane. Try it!
I did a similar post a few months ago, but since then I significantly jazzed up these little treats. I made 45 and it took ~2 hours. They’re honestly super easy but bring them to a dinner party and let everyone marvel at how talented you are.
Un. Real. Recipe is for 6 but you might as well make 100 because they’re so good AND they take under 5 minutes to make. Before diving in, know you can indulge relatively guilt free: dates are loaded with minerals, have a low glycemic impact, and contain a ton of fiber for your digestive system.
For those of you who want dessert but don't want to cook/prep....I GOT YOU. Coconut date rolls can be found in the natural or bulk section of your grocery store.
Over the weekend I was invited to a BBQ.........not exactly the mecca of healthy, nutritious food. As I mulled over my potential options of greasy chips or a sub-par veggie burger I quickly decided it was in my best interest to bring something for myself/anyone else who was interested.
This is one of those things that you can’t keep in the house. Also one of those things I wish I had a single serving food processor for.
BIG SHOUT OUT TO LONI JANE ANTHONY FOR CREATING THIS. If you don't know who she is click HERE or HERE. Truly a source of inspiration.

My self-diagnosed allergy to citric acid makes it impossible to buy store bought hummus. Plus, when I found out how EASY it is to make your own I wondered why I hadn’t started doing this years ago.
How many times have you polished off a bag of Doritos and felt AMAZING afterwards? As though you could just lace up your sneakers and go for a run while all the birds chirp for you. Never? Me either.
I’ve made these both with and without oil and I can honestly say I prefer them without. Counter-intuitively they are crispier without it. For oil-free flavor I add fresh rosemary and bake all together. Get ready for your house to smell amazing.

I wasn’t super hungry this day so this is what I ate! I always listen to my body, so I will have days like this where I’m not eating a ton, and then I have days where I will want like double this.
I’ve definitely learned that consistency is hands down the biggest part of losing weight. You have to expect to have set backs and keep going and not get discouraged.
My rule is that I don’t have any restrictions when I go to dinner out, or while vacation. I generally go to dinner with friends one to three times per week. The rest of the week I’m moderately strict, but weight lifting has definitely ramped up my metabolism where I can eat a lot and maintain my weight.
This is a pretty typical day for me rn! It is a weekend day so I’m more lenient than usual in the sense of buying food out, but still pretty standard in terms of what I’m eating.
I could literally bathe in this dressing it’s so good. If you like ranch dressing you’ll like this. Creamy, salty, rich. UGH so good. Kind of sounds like I’m describing my dream man but enough about me.
I’ve gotten a lot of requests to expound upon an IG story that I posted a few weeks ago. Better late than never right? I started getting really into skin care after I saw a tiny wrinkle on my forehead that I can happily report has gone away. Honestly, most of my skin care routine is prob bs that doesn’t do much bc you CANNOT out moisturize a shitty diet and I definitely recommend adding more greens to your breakfast/lunch/whatever before spending a ton of money on skincare. That being said, I like my routine and it makes me feel pampered so I do it.
I love eating Bircha because it contains so many superfoods that you’re hitting basically all of your vitamin/mineral requirements (with the exception of B12). Also low-carb since summer will be here before we know it.
Whoever said "idle hands are the devil's workshop" smacked the shit out of the nail's head. Whenever I'm bored I get into trouble (take that with a grain of salt because my definition of trouble is relatively low-key).
Let's say you are funneling chia seeds like it's your fucking JOB in order to get more calcium. Then you go to your doctor and find out you have a calcium deficiency. WHAT GIVES?
Although this isn't a particularly groundbreaking idea I'm going to track these posts chronologically, so here is post 2.
I'm Ally. I hope this blog inspires you to make choices that help you thrive and look.........
